Margaux is the epitome of elegant wines in the Bordeaux region. The vines date back to the 13th or 14th century and were established in the 17th century to sell the then wildly popular new French Claret. Winemakers at Margaux believe that the best wines are a perfect blend of the efforts of nature and the purposeful and knowledgeable intervention of human hands. Each successive vintage is cured in oak barrels for two years, letting the brand new barrels refine the already excellent wine, to build depth and complexity without diminishing the quality of the wine's basic flavor profile. A delicate balance of strength and smoothness allow the ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the terroir, and perfume aromas blend with various notes in the wine to create a harmonious whole that is soft on the palate.
