Made from hand-selected fruit taken from one of the most prized Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard locations in the world, the 2005 vintage is accessible, balanced, and elegant. This wine was aged in custom-toasted barrels of new French Nevers, Limousin, and Vosges oak for 24 months and underwent 100% malolactic fermentation in barrels for added complexity and softness. A big, sweet nose of black currant jam and chocolate betrays a similarly succulent palate completed by an enduring finish with hints of coffee. With silky tannin and loads of length and concentration, it should drink well for 8-10 years.
