2004, Rosenblum Cellars, Alexander Valley Osborn Ranch Late Harvest Semillon

This magnificent wine comes from grapes that stayed on the vine late into harvest.  The extra-long hang time combined with a special condition called noble rot, which extracts water from grapes leaving concentrated sugar and acid behind, produced an intensely rich, golden wine.  It has a bouquet of ripe peaches and apricots with elements of honey and vanilla.  Try this wine with fruit tarts, Crème Brule or bread pudding.
