2001, Rutherford Hill Winery, Napa Valley Sangiovese

Our 2001 Napa Valley Sangiovese is our 7th vintage and expresses true varietal flavors of black cherries, creme cassis, orange peel, wild berries and sage as well as aromas of spicy sweet smoke, lavender and anise.  The wine has a deep red color and the bright fruit core is concentrated and balanced with a serious, yet accessible intensity that promises long bottle age and an ability to pair with a variety of hearty dishes.
