Winemaker Notes

This offering of Alexander Valley Cabernet is full-bodied with firm tannins. This wine seems to be a cross between the 1999 and 2002 Vintage: it has an herbal, leafy character, but still has lots of lush, forward fruit. In many respects, it reminds me of a 2000 Haut Medoc; it leans more towards a Bordeaux-style than a California-style Cab. I think this wine has tremendous aging potential.
