Winemaker Notes

Our longtime source for Barbera has been the Oleta vineyard in Fiddletown. Long native to Piemont, the Italian grape finds itself at home in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The warm days and volcanic soils in Amador County yield fine perfume, structure, and acidity - all hallmarks of great Barbera.
