The diverse soils, terrain, and microclimates of California create ideal conditions for the growing of grapes for our BLACK MOUNTAIN Gravel Bar Chardonnay.  The fruit was picked at the point of perfection; just ripe enough to ensure a precise sugar-acid balance.  The wine was then aged until it reached its optimum bouquet and complexity.  You will find this wine to have intense varietal character with an elegant finish.
