The 2004 Barbera (83%) is a wine with bright fruit and lively acidity. 9% Cabernet Franc was blended in to add extra fruity characteristics and 8% Tempranillo was added to give this wine depth of tannins and earthiness. Look for notes of strawberry and wild cherry, backed by a smoky nose. This is an excellent summer wine. Serve with appetizers, especially cured meats.
