From Sebastopol and the Sonoma Valley, this lovely wine refuses to show all of its cards at first pass. Aged for just a couple of days in French oak, then in stainless steel, there’s a balance of crisp Sonoma County sunshine lain over a base of lemon, pear and honey. Garlic chicken dishes call for this beautiful wine, and it need not be consumed in one evening. There’s a lot more to this delectable chardonnay that can be discovered after many hours of aeration. It’s polite, pure and harmonious. Not steely, not a butterball and definitely not insipid. Again, farmed by smart stewards of the land.
