Sauvignon Blanc wines are grown in many regions such as Loire, Sancerre, Bordeaux, New Zealand, Italy and California.  It is also sometimes known as Fume Blanc.  Sauvignon Blanc wines are crisp and herbaceous with high acidity.  It is sometimes blended with Semillon to make a more rounder and easier tasting wine.  Sauvignon Blanc wines are never aged in oak but rather in steel tanks.  The aromas associated with Sauvignon Blanc wines will remind you of cut grass, lemon, lime, grapefruit, asparagus, lemon grass, melon, etc.
